Recording Arts and Technology
Recording Arts and Technology trains students for entry-level positions in the highly competitive audio industry. The program's curriculum models students' educational experiences around real-life projects with real-life expectations. You will receive a broad-based education in music recording and mixing, location sound, commercial production, audio for video and television, internet audio, music production, live sound reinforcement and the entertainment business. Field experience and internships provide on-the-job training with local and national employers. Typical course projects include producing recordings for local and regional musical groups, music performance programs for broadcast and cable television, concert sound reinforcement, sound for television and film, marketing and promotion of recordings for the College record albel and the creation of audio elements for emerging media and internet radio.Tri-C offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Recording Arts and Technology.Graduates are prepared for entry level positions in the audio industry, including:
